With a background in Geography from the University of Vienna and further specialization in Regional Science and Urban Studies, Rudolf has extensively contributed to the study of urban decay, smart city development, and housing market dynamics. His work, emphasizing sustainable and resilient urban planning through ICT, has been published in numerous books and journals, establishing him as a leading figure in his field. He has held prestigious roles, including the head of the Centre for Urban and Regional Research at the Vienna University of Technology, and garnered international recognition with his publications on smart city and resilient urban development. Despite retirement, his influence continues through teaching and ongoing scholarly contributions.
