Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This privacy policy covers the website wtf4cities.com and the “WTF4Cities Episode Uploader”, an internal tool used by the What is The Future for Cities? podcast (hosted by Fanni Melles) to publish our own episodes to our YouTube channel.

WTF4Cities Episode Uploader and YouTube API Services

The uploader uses YouTube API Services solely to upload and schedule videos (full episodes, trailers and Shorts), together with their titles, descriptions, thumbnails and publishing times, to our own YouTube channel, “What is The Future for Cities? Podcast”. It is operated only by the podcast team and is not offered to the public or to third parties.

  • The uploader does not access, collect, store or share any data about other YouTube users or viewers.
  • The only account it accesses is our own channel, authorised by us through Google OAuth. Access tokens are stored securely on our own systems and are never shared.
  • No YouTube data is sold, used for advertising, or used to build profiles.

By using YouTube, you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke any app’s access to your Google account at any time via the Google security settings page.

Data retention and deletion

The uploader does not store any YouTube user data. The only credential it holds is the OAuth token for our own channel, kept on our own secured storage; we delete it if we stop using the tool, and access can be revoked at any time through the Google security settings page. Videos and metadata we upload remain on YouTube under our channel and can be deleted by us through YouTube Studio. For any data request, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
